We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Ethical Robotics Workshop held at Hindu College High School on June 23, 2025. Organized by Vishishta Innovators Pvt. Ltd., this dynamic and educational event introduced students to the fascinating world of robotics, while placing a strong emphasis on ethics in technology.
The workshop was designed to nurture curiosity, ignite innovation, and cultivate a sense of responsibility among young learners, equipping them with both technical skills and a conscientious mindset.
Workshop Highlights
Comprehensive Curriculum
The workshop offered a well-structured introduction to the basics of robotics, tailored to be both accessible and meaningful for school students. Concepts were explained in simple, relatable ways to spark interest and encourage active participation.
Key topics covered included:
What is Robotics? – Understanding robotics and its impact on modern society
How Motors Work – A look into DC motors and how they enable movement
Introduction to Generators – Basics of electricity generation and energy transformation
Motors vs. Generators – Comparing energy usage and conversion
Applications of Robotics – Real-world uses in homes, industries, healthcare, and more
The session emphasized that robotics is not just about technology—it’s about creating meaningful solutions with social and ethical responsibility.
Hands-On Activity: Building a RaceBot
One of the most exciting segments of the workshop was the RaceBot activity, where students designed and assembled their own RaceBots. This hands-on experience helped participants:
Assemble basic robotic kits
Understand wiring and circuit connections
Test and refine their creations through real-time performance
This practical exposure reinforced classroom concepts and built confidence in applying engineering principles.
Ethics in Robotics: Innovate with Integrity
In addition to technical skills, students were guided to think about the ethical implications of the technology they build. Thought-provoking discussions introduced them to questions such as:
How can robots make life better for people?
What are the risks of irresponsible innovation?
Why must fairness, safety, and inclusivity be part of tech development?
The goal was to encourage students to be innovators with empathy—aware of how their creations can affect lives and communities.
