We are thrilled to share the successful completion of the Ethical Robotics Workshop held on July 3, 2025, at KVR High School, organized by Vishishta Innovators Pvt. Ltd. The workshop brought together 220 enthusiastic students for a day of immersive learning, innovation, and reflection on the responsible use of technology.

Workshop Highlights

Comprehensive Curriculum

The Ethical Robotics Workshop was designed to introduce students to the exciting world of robotics while highlighting the importance of ethics in technological advancement. Through a combination of interactive lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities, students gained foundational knowledge in robotics and learned to think critically about the role of machines in society.

Key topics covered included:

The curriculum was carefully crafted to balance technical knowledge with ethical reflection. Topics included:

  • What is Robotics? – Introduction to robots and their real-world uses

  • How Motors Work – Basics of DC motor function and movement

  • Generators and Energy Conversion – Understanding how electricity is produced

  • Motors vs. Generators – Key functional differences

  • Applications of Robotics – Exploring robotics in homes, industries, healthcare, and services

These sessions helped students understand not only how machines function but also why it’s crucial to design and use them responsibly.

Hands-On Learning: RaceBot Challenge

A major highlight of the workshop was the RaceBot Activity, where students worked in teams to build and test line-following robots. This engaging, hands-on challenge allowed them to:

  • Assemble and wire basic robot kits

  • Understand circuit design and troubleshooting

  • Watch their bots follow tracks autonomously

This interactive session brought technical learning to life and sparked curiosity, collaboration, and confidence among the students.

Ethics in Robotics: Building with Care

An important segment of the workshop focused on the ethical implications of robotics and AI. Students were encouraged to reflect on questions such as:

  • How can robots be used to help people?

  • Why is it important to design machines carefully?

  • What are the risks of misusing technology?

This discussion helped spark a sense of social responsibility and inspired students to think of innovation as a tool for positive change.
